Scheint doch länger zu dauern, weil alle hier eins haben wollen
Dear Martin,
The factory is supposed to deliver the phones to us today but they didn't. They seem to have problems in their production schedules and we were informed that the next batch would only be released next week, the earliest. Once we have received the phones from the factory, we should be able to ship them out to you on the following day.
We will keep you inform once further update is available.

Since the market has resumed business after the Chinese New Year holidays, we have only managed to receive 50 phones from the factory today. The factory production has not been resumed to normal as yet and therefore, the supply quantities remain to be low. We are hoping that everything would resume to normal by end of next week but the factory is still unable to make a concrete commitment to us as yet.
We have examined all the phones that we received in recent batches and all of them come with 1-3 dead pixels. Other suppliers who received Pinphones recently shared the same findings with us as well.
In view of the dead pixel issue, many buyers have already started to queue for one that comes with only one dead pixel and with the smallest size. However, we give priority and reserve these phones only to our buyers that we have committed to select a phone that comes without a dead pixel.
We do find that there are 1-2 rare sets of Pinphones that come with only one very tiny dead pixel. The good news is that size of the dead pixel is as tiny as the dot on the letter ¡§i¡¨ as you see here and they are not obvious. We tried to take a few photos for you but because the dot is so tiny, it cannot even be seen on the photos.
Please let us know within the next 24 hours whether you are keen to accept this rare set that we have selected for you. Otherwise, we will release the phones to other buyers and will continue to search for one that satisfies you. To be fair to you, if you do not wish to wait any longer, we will issue you with a refund without any question asked.
We thank you for your kind understanding on the present situation. It is our commitment to keep you abreast on the development and search for a phone that satisfies you.

The two best Pinphones that we have here had the dead pixel located at the upper centre of the phone. However, unlike other phones that come with one dead pixel which we come across, the dead pixel of these 2 phones can hardly be seen. Those at the border are slightly bigger and glaring - that's why I do not recommend you to take. Of course, before I offered you this, I have asked myself a question - would I have accepted the same if I were you? ... and the answer is "yes"
In fact, we did not enjoy a discount from getting a phone with dead pixel from the factory. This is because the supply is currently very short and frankly, to get these 2 good phones is not easy. Therefore, we are not able to reduce the price or give any compensation in return. We seek your understanding on this. Moreover, you need to be aware that Pinphone (like the real Apple iphone), the back cover is sealed and you will not be able to change the battery easily.
If you are keen to take these 2 best sets that I have at the moment, I will proceed to send them to the factory to upgrade the memory for you. Once the factory returns the phone to me, I will ship them out to you immediately.

Das ist Schwachsinn. Da steht nur drin, dass das Backcover nicht so ohne weiteres abgemacht werden kann, somit das Batteriewechseln etwas schwieriger ist *hust* 2 Schrauben lösen, Backcover von unten an nach oben hin klappen und schon ist es ab *hust*
Der Akku ist noch nicht mal eingelötet, ist ein ganz normaler Li-Ion Akku, der rausgenommen werden kann.
Bei der Speicherkarte kann es allerdings bei manchen Pinphones so sein, dass hier anstatt einer MicroSD ein Flashspeicher verlötet wurde. War aber meine ich nur bei der Baureihe mit der FW 1.1.1 so.

Da ist ja auch prinzipiell nichts gegen einzuwenden. Das würde man selbst ja auch nicht anders machen. Mich würde nur mal interessieren, ob schon mal jemand von dort ein pixelfehlerfreies Phone bekommen hat. oder ob Grand auf den Leidensdruck seiner Kunden hofft, dass sie endlich ihr neues Handy haben wollen
