Wer weiß, vielleicht gibt es ein neues USB 2 Video Kabel bei den
neuen handys?
Es ist auf jeden fall interessant, dass die Hardware soetwas zu unterstützen scheint.

Ist ja lustig, die Firmware 1.2 ist vom 29.5.2008 und die 1.1 vom 30.5.2008 wie ich bei mir sehe.

Aber das mit dem TV Out ist ja interessant.

Yep, das ist mir auch aufgefallen. Habe jetzt aber wieder die V1.1 drauf, die "spricht" ja Deutsch und hat nen Apfel beim Booten

P.S.: Bei der V1.2 scheint beim Chinesischen eine Art T9 zu funktionieren, mir wurden Vorschläge beim SMSen gemacht

Also China 4 USB Kabel Version läuft unter XP einwandfrei nur mit VISTA gehts nicht und bricht immer wieder ab liegt an den VISTA Treibern.

Nein, an den Menüs hatte sich nichts verändert, mal abgesehen von der TV-Out Funktion, anderen Sprachen und einer anderen Ein- und Ausschaltanimation ist alles gleich.

Diese Datei haben ich NICHT benötigt!!! Keinen Schimmer, was man damit anstellen soll, die könnt ihr getrost vergessen

Firmware update / downgrade

I'm sorry that I'm writing in english but I can't write in german and I don't know any english forum.

I currently have APL216_V 1.1_20080530 firmware (english, french, russian, thai?, persian) in my CiPhone. I would like to have german language to get a keyboard layout supporting ä and ö.
However when reading this thread a link to 1.1 firmware has german language so this must be a different one than I have?

In FlashTool when I select "Scatter-loading" I load scat_6230.txt right?. When pressing download I must select a .bin file. Is MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin the right one? Do I need a authentication file too? If so which one?

Is is possible to take a backup before flashing a new firmware with FlashTool or with any other tool?

When transferring .MP3 files to phone I sometimes get disconnected during transfer. Is it possible that I get disconnected during firmware update too? Is my phone dead if that happens or is boot loader still present in the phone to try again?

Hi there

The firmware you find in my Post #5 is probably the same firmware you have on your phone now, the only difference is that it supports other languages like German. Therefore it also has the German keyboard layout with ü,ä,ö and ß

You are absolutely right, you select the scatter log file called scat_6230.txt from the firmware directory and the download agent file from the flash software directory called MTK_AllInOne_Da.bin

You do NOT need any authentification file!!!

You CAN download your own firmware before flashing another firmware, please look that pictures in my first post. Problem is, you won't be able to flash it back "like that", it'll have to brought into a flashable format before you can actually flash it back. I have no clue how that works, but there are people out there who could do that for you, we have a user on this board (oxa), he's capable of doing it, if this needs to be done

I don't know what will happen if your phone is disconnected during the flash, I bet it could kill your phone?!? Once you have started flashing, I would't touch the phone or cable!!! Luckily this never happend to me, I was always successful flashing my phone so far, and I have done it a few times before

Darf ih etwas zum TV out beitragen?
Habe neben dem Ciphone auch das Hero 320 (mit GB/GBC/NES/SNES - Emulatoren). Bei dem war ein TV Kabel dabei, das wird bei der Kopfhörerbuchse angesteckt. Hat mit unserem Fernseher (Samsung weißnetwas Riesenplasmading) super funktioniert. Hat vor allem beim Hero was gebracht, weil da wurde das handy zur Konsole - der Bildschrim wird scharz und man nutzt es nur als Kontroller.

Etwas, das mich interessiert:
Ginge es, die Firmware des 3G auf ein "altes" Cipohone zu flashen (vor allem, würde sich jemand bereit erklären das gegen Kostenübernahme zu machen)?
