That problem has been solved in the enhanced version as it now comes with a 1000mAh battery. This means you can take it along with you anywhere and not have to worry about power. Sadly, Xiaomi has failed to give an estimated number of hours the battery is supposed to last.

Apart from the battery, every other feature remains the same as the original.

The enhanced version of the Mi Internet Radio will sell for ¥149 ($22), ¥20 more than the original, starting at 10 o’clock on the 24th of March. It will be available on Xiaomi’s official website, the Mi App, Lynx, Suning and Jingdong Mall.

The Turok Steinhardt anti-Blue ray glasses is made of a yellow nano-material which offers three different level of protection. Xiaomi Mi VR Play 2

This new design will probably give the Mi VR Play 2 a size smaller than that of its predecessor. Another major change is the use of a single elastic nylon headband instead of adjustable straps and the removal of the zipper.

The absence of a zipper might not go down well with everyone as it provided a way for you to keep your phone completely hidden inside the Mi VR Play. Promotional images for the Mi VR Play 2 shows the phone sticking out at one side, although that might not happen if you are using a phone like the Mi 5, Mi 5s or Mi 5C.

The glasses is definitely made out of plastic but is wrapped with a strong elastic cotton called “dragon cloth”. The part that sits on your face is lined with a padded porous material for comfort. The VR glass has a 93° FOV, measures 129 × 191 × 120 mm and weighs 183g. It will support phones with screen sizes between 4.7 – 5.7-inches with at least a 1080p resolution.

The Mi VR Play 2 will cost just ¥99 (~$14) and will go on sale on the 19th of April. Sadly, it is only available in black for now.

Xiaomi has today officially released a new Mi Loan app which is available on all smartphones running Android operating system. This was made known via a Weibo post from the MIUI official Weibo account. The Mi Loan app is released for all Android phone users in China and among the services provided is the provision of micro-credit.

Sunscreen Skin Coat

The 90 Points Colorful Sunscreen skin coat comes with a wicking or material which is breathable and absorbs ultraviolet rays, thus protecting the skin of the wearer. MiUI Picture-in-Picture & Split-Screen

And in another announcement, the company is finally bringing split screen and picture-in-picture functionality to its MIUI operating system for its next major update.

The new split screen feature will allow MIUI-based devices have two apps share the screen, in both portrait and landscape orientations. Then the picture-in-picture will allow apps to minimize into a small box that floats on the display.

While both features will be available with the upcoming major MIUI update, it will still be up to developers to make their apps compatible with the new features.

The new Xiaomi Mi Band 2 Mi 6 Commemorative Edition comes with the same design as the regular Mi Band 2 but the number “6” is engraved on the touchpad. Apart from that, the words “Mi 6 Memorial” is printed on a part of the rubber straps. These are the two differences on the new band. It is believed the features are the same with the regular Mi Band 2.

Wetter-App bekommt 2 Stunden Regenvorhersage Feature

The new MIUI Weather app feature is also known as short-term precipitation forecast and it functions by analysing the weather radar map and can predict the rainfall trend in the next 2 hours with an error range of 5 minutes. The new Mi Weather app can also predict the rainfall time to the minute level and the location accurate to the street level with up to 83% accuracy rate.

The feature is not very accurate, though, as sometimes the app can be wrong. In such situations, users can send feedback to help Xiaomi collate, classify and correct errors using the large data algorithm from the feedbacks.

The new cotton bed is made 100% from organic cotton and is different from the traditional woven fabric. The cotton material makes it easy to clean when dirty and also will dry faster. Apart from using the bedding, the mattress can even be used bare as it comes with same pure cotton.

Xiaomi Mi Router 3A

The Mi Router 3A is similar to the Mi Router 3C but offers a bit more. It has the same 4 high-gain PCB antennas and the same 64MB RAM. Where it differs is in the ROM which is 64MB. Far from what you have in the 1TB or 8TB models of the Mi Router HD but better than the 16MB NOR Flash in the 3C.

For that extra memory, you get to pay more too. Xiaomi has put a price tag of ¥139 ($20) on the Mi Router 3A. However, you might want to buy the original Mi Router 3 seeing as it is currently on sale for the same ¥139 price but has double the memory (128MB).
